The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer to join our 777-9 Systems Integration team located in Everett, WA. The candidate engineer will work with a dynamic and diverse Systems Integration team that supports the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In addition, the Systems Integration team supports the entire Boeing Commercial Airplane fleet in service, supporting resolution to fleet and safety issues, customer commitments, and overall airplane system product strategy.

The candidate may work with Environmental Controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, and Avionics Systems teams, and will collaborate with those teams for issue resolution and new component certification. This opportunity will provide the engineer with a detailed exposure of the core systems components at the heart of each a specific airplane model, and provides an ideal leadership growth pathway. The Systems Engineer (SE) applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic life-cycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Having a working knowledge of Boeing’s Airplane development methods, and knowledge of BCA airplane programs will also be a benefit. Ideally having experience working on or with a development program, within a Design Center, and having interacted with supplier chain, and multi-skilled, multi-department teams. Successful candidates will have demonstrated their ability for technical leadership, be willing to challenge the status-quo, and thrive in loosely structured environments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.
  • Partners with appropriate stakeholders to ensure understanding across the systems engineering teams for certification and airplane level integration.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues
  • Collaborate with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, and Avionics Systems, and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 2+ years of aerospace industry experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking skills; ability to work in agile, flexible team environment

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
