ABA Behavior Technician Job at Navis Behavioral
Looking for caring paraprofessionals, to provide ABA services for children ages 2-21 with autism under the guidance and supervision of a behavioral supervisor, BCBA. ABA Behavior Technicians are primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 ABA services targeting the development of language and play and new academic, behavioral, social, and daily living skills. For children and adults ages 3-21.
- Adapt to clients needs which can vary in all aspects of the developmental stages and autism spectrum, some needing extensive support for basic daily living tasks to some needing mainly support with social emotional tasks.
- Develop replacement responses for difficult or disruptive behaviors.
- Create a fun, engaging environment for clients, using each individual’s motivations to promote meaningful learning opportunities and experiences.
- Collect data on clients’ goals
- Communicate with fellow therapists and BCBAs regarding client programs.
- Provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers through the modeling of appropriate interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and further develop best clinical practices.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or the national equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC).
- Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or commitment to become certified by successfully completing a 40-hour training course (provided by Navis and passing the RBT Competency Assessment and RBT examination.)
- Reliable transportation and car insurance.
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to and from one of our clinic, school, or clients’ homes within 30 minutes of your location.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and actively engage with children in multiple settings.
- Clear background check and TB test.
- Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment.
- Must be able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.

- Monday to Thursday 8am-630pm
- Fridays are professional development days, trainings, meetings and team building activities.
