JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications: Accounting or Finance Degree or Higher. At least 5 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role, healthcare industry is preferred.

Work Expectations: Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to interface with the team, manager, nurses, physicians and patients. Problem solving ability and self-motivation.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Accounts payable invoices review and approval for the assigned vendors.

· Fixed Asset roll-forward and reconciliation on monthly basis;

· Assisting with assigned revenue booking and reconciliation.

· Prepaid and accrual journal entries for assigned operating expense.

· Prepare assigned Balance Sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

· Assisting with annual audit preparations, investigating and resolving audit findings.

· Assisting with annual tax return preparation and other relevant tax filing.

· Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes.

· Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met.

· Perform financial analysis and reporting as needed.

· Contributing to the development of new or existing accounting system.

· Identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies, ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.

· Performing other accounting duties and supporting manager as required or assigned.

· Adhere to Policies & Procedures.

Abilities and Knowledge

· Understanding of statutory and GAAP accounting principles.

· Must be able to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to both a technical and non-technical audience

· Experience working with Oracle Fusion applications and/or various ERP designed for large enterprise organizations.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Healthcare industry experience

· Experience in generating on-demand and scheduled reports for business analysis or management decision

· Experience in account reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.

· Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accrual accounting.

· Exceptional analytical skills and strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s.

· Ability to effectively communicate both verbally, in writing and promote teamwork.

· Proactive, detail oriented, high sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

· Strong people skills.

· A self starter with a strong work ethic.

· Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision within normal limits with or without corrective lenses.
  • Hearing within normal limits with or without hearing aids; consideration may be given to individual with partial hearing loss provided she can demonstrate the ability to receive, interpret, and act on instructions given by normal speaking voice.
  • Normal foot/leg motor skills; consideration may be given to an individual with a leg brace or prosthesis provided she can demonstrate the ability to move smoothly and rapidly within the operating room environment and carry out the duties of the position and those of circulating and scrub nurse.
  • Occasionally, must be able to bend and stoop and to lift and carry loads up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
