RAND is seeking an Accountant to perform accounting duties to support the financial transactions at RAND. The successful candidate will process and record the financial transactions related to cash management, revenue recognition (including contribution accounting / tuition) and regular allocations. Additional tasks range from Cash reporting, contribution accounting, recording journal entries, performing bank/general ledger account reconciliations, conducting fluctuation analysis, assisting in the preparation of management reporting, quarterly/annual financial statements; preparation of supporting schedules for audit requests, as well as various other ad hoc projects as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Experience and understanding of accounting transactions required
  • Experience in non-profit accounting a plus
  • Familiarity with charitable giving accounting rules is a plus
  • Proficient using MS Office suite required
  • Strong / advanced Excel skills with experience with large data sets required
  • Experience with the Workday ERP, a plus
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently required
  • Aptitude to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy required
  • Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills required
  • Ability to organize workflow in an efficient manner required
Education Qualifications:
Minimum BS/BA in Finance, Business or Accounting
CPA /or working towards CPA a plus

Salary Range
$54,700 - $81,400

The salary range includes base pay plus RAND’s sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
