What you will be doing

The Warehouse Vendor Relations team is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Accounting Manager – Warehouse Vendor Relations oversees a team which supports both our warehouse operations and our manufacturing plants. The vendor relations team acts as the primary point of contact for all warehouse vendor inquiries and payment disputes. The team also assists heavily with vendor maintenance, deduction processing and managing our open purchase liability. The team also processes the majority of invoices for our manufacturing plants.

The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.

Main responsibilities

Manage team of more than a dozen associates to accomplish the following:

• Review and respond to inquiries from vendors who sell goods for resale to our warehouses
• Resolve disputes with vendors over payment and deduction differences
• Process all accounts payable to support our eighteen manufacturing plants
• Manage our warehouse payables aging processes and actively communicate with vendors on open balances.
• Oversee other miscellaneous duties as needed.

What we are searching for

• Strong theoretical & practical knowledge of GAAP.
• High degree of initiative, accuracy, and adaptability
• Oracle experience and SQL knowledge is a plus
• Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Good organizational and analytical skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
• Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting the strongest business ethics.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

• Five or more years accounting experience in a large organization using an ERP accounting system.
• Four-year degree required in an Accounting-related field. Master’s degree and/or CPA license preferred
• Prior management experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle complex assignments/analysis.
• Advanced level PC skills with working knowledge of databases and SQL preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• A desire for continued learning
