Accounting Supervisor - Dallas/Coppell, Texas Job at MEI Rigging & Crating LLC
**This position will report to our Plano location and be moving to our new Coppell location in February or March 2023**

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for the office administrative team to manage daily office activities including processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, project accounting, and job costing, and assist the general manager with financial analysis and support.
- Lead project accounting efforts including ensuring utilizing software properly to track job costing and utilization data, with a constant focus on margin analysis
- Supervise account receivable process in the office, including accurate, timely invoicing, collections, reducing AR aging days, and navigating the lien waiver and notice process
- Supervise accounts payable process in the office, including purchasing, proper cost accounting, internal financial controls, and maximizing vendor discounts
- Coordinate with Accounting Manager on the month-end process
- Monitor data such as equipment rental costs, overtime utilization, and important data to provide timely reports to GM as needed
- Work with project managers to ensure they have the data needed to effectively manage their projects
- Understand the entire process from quote to invoicing in all internal systems (Portal and D365, etc.), and oversee employee training and coordinate process improvement
- Perform monthly variance analyses
- Track property leases and oversee vendor contracts
- Effective customer management including the ability to thoroughly review customer purchase orders and the establishment of credit approvals and limits
- Review and process lien waivers/releases
- Monthly payroll reporting for OCIP, CCIP, and ROCIP
- Credit card coding review and approval
- Ensure consistency between D365 billing and customer portal invoicing
- Manage the manual check process
- Manage per diem payments
- Review of month-end lumber inventory for inspections
- Reconciliations including monthly storage and crating reports
- Provide backup for accounting team and transactional work
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)
- High School Diploma or GED and some post-secondary coursework or the combination of education and experience to demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles
- MUST HAVE 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- MUST HAVE a minimum of 1 year of experience working with accounting systems
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience with accounting leadership
- Strong computer skills and tech savvy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Progress billing and AIA pay apps experience strongly preferred
- Construction and/or Industrial Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Preference for project accounting and job costing
- Knowledge of CCIP, ROCIP, etc. set up for customers
- Knowledge of Certified Payroll/prevailing wages
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP experience
