Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst. This position will be located at our Katy, TX office. In your role as an Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will manage the Collections processes for assigned accounts receivable portfolio in compliance with established policy, procedures, and internal controls. This position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Accounts Receivable Analyst Essential Job Functions:
- Daily monitoring of assigned customers for timely collection, contact delinquent customers to resolve issues within established guidelines
- Document status and maintain SAP collection notes and collection workbook current
- Communication with the customer service/sales order processing, seller and marketing teams to resolve open items and solicit assistance for orders
- Coordinate resolution of customer issues, including short pays, disputes and pricing issues
- Recommend actions on delinquent accounts, by developing risk based approach using historical customers experience and trends, prioritizing accounts based on account balance, past escalations, or credit risk exposure
- Maintain aspects of global reporting to communicate results of collection activity and performance against metrics such as DSO, % past due, # of debit/credits issued, bad debt reserves (including collection and credit risk assessments), and ad hoc reporting requests
- Assist Credit analysts/manager in investigations to help resolve credit block issues due to collection delays, required changes in terms to support volume or price increases, or in order to evaluate financial exposure risk
- Assist in preparing analysis for establishment of credit for new customers within DOA. Perform due diligence in compliance with credit and collection policy and procedures
- Maintain compliance with SOX internal control documentations and related assessments, making changes and recommendations for change as necessary.
- Provides requested documentation and support to internal and external auditors
Accounts Receivable Analyst Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Business, Accounting or Finance discipline strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related Accounting/Finance experience with experience in managing compliance with established internal controls procedures
- Exceptional organization skills to track, maintain timely documentation, and manage status of multiple customer accounts, adjustments, and approvals
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail, proven ability to build strong relationships and excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor
- Proficient in SAP Credit and Collections modules and Microsoft Office products
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
