Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Colorado Springs CO, is seeking a full-time ACEOPS Administrator.

Operate, maintain and manage Linux based systems supporting a software development environment. Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Windows/Linux environment and is responsible for backup and recovery (to include disaster recovery) of system data.

Primary Responsibilities include
  • Ensure all data is being backed up on a regular basis
  • Ensure backup system is functioning correctly and periodically test the backup system by restoring files
  • Respond appropriately to any system security/virus incident discovered
  • Install, configure, monitor, manage and maintain all Linux based servers
  • Create and maintain Linux server documentation and Linux system administration processes and procedures
  • Install, configure, manage and maintain Linux server based applications
  • Ensure Linux based systems have the appropriate patches installed; including but not limited to, security, applications and OS
  • Ensure Linux based systems are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files
  • Create, manage and maintain security groups, user groups and Windows/Linux server images
  • Monitor, manage and maintain storage systems and devices

This position is located full time on site at Schriever Space Force Base and is not a remote position.

Must have at least an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have technical skills in the following: Linux system administration, System Security Implementations, Linux shell scripting, Ansible playbook development and management, Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux and Red Hat repository administration.
  • Must have technical skills supporting a varied and diverse environment including server setup, deployment and maintenance. Must also have a background/ knowledge of Linux environment and administration. Understanding of configuration managed Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS). Understanding of what IT\\'\\'s role is in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and how it can be applied to PaaS. Knowledge with applying containers (Docker) and use of container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification with any of the following certifications (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with LINUX Products (Red Hat LINUX) use of Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Desire an understanding of the Agile processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
