Cadence Living is hiring a talented, energetic, and compassionate Resident Lifestyle Director (Life-enrichment Activity Director) in our beautiful senior living community Cadence Olney. Our Resident Lifestyle Director is responsible for the overall direction of the activities program for our residents. They will lead all planning, organizing, communicating, and coordinating of activities for our residents with the support of the Lifestyle Coordinator and Assistant. They will utilize various media, i.e., newsletters, in-house television, flyers, and one-on-one interaction to enrich the lives of our residents.

What will you do as a Resident Lifestyle Director (Activity Director)?

• Manage all aspects of the Activity Department.
• Enthusiastically encourage resident participation and celebrate their achievements.
• Produce/coordinate the monthly newsletter.
• Schedule monthly activities for the calendar.
• Write articles for the newsletter.
• Work with deadlines to complete projects on time.
• Interact with the residents to assure resident satisfaction.
• Organize resident and community volunteers.
• Take residents on outings i.e.: lunch outings during the week etc.
• Leads assigned activities.
• Hires, trains, and supervises Resident Lifestyle Coordinators (Activity Assistants)

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

• 3+ years' leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or health care management.
• Creativity and passion for helping others along with excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strength in showing initiative, and good judgment; employing professional ethics; with a pleasant manner, good communication skills, and the ability to motivate.
• Bachelor's degree in gerontology, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is desired!
