This position provides administrative staff support under administrative directive to conduct analyses of a wide range of agency programs, functions, operations, services and policies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Performs a variety of administrative tasks involving the operation of an agency function or team; assists in the day-to-day administration of the team; assists with the development of office procedures and forms; assists in the preparation and maintenance of team and agency operating and procedural manuals
- Represents assigned team on specific administrative matters in liaison with other teams or organizations; attends meetings and conferences, agency committees or community groups as required; prepares work schedules; assists in resolving problems and complaints regarding program and/or team activities and services
- Gathers, inputs, retrieves and analyzes data; conducts studies of programs, systems, procedures, practices or any other agency issue related to team programs and/or management operations; prepares related reports, memoranda, tables, spreadsheets, charts and graphs; reviews work both in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with agency policy, standards and directions
- Prepares materials for presentations, meetings, and workshops; answers requests for information; writes and prepares correspondence, newsletters, minutes, and other documents as assigned; maintains files, records and databases
- Performs technical staff work pertaining to the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment, such as computers, copiers and audio-visual equipment
- Performs special assignments or assists in routine or special activities; plans and organizes events, meetings, seminars, training sessions, orientation and in-services as assigned
- Performs other administrative duties as required
SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration or a related field, and experience in an administrative staff position; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of public or business management including budgeting, personnel administration, and/or program management
- Knowledge in the field or fields related to the specific job assignment
- Some knowledge of research techniques statistical methods, and report writing
- Ability to plan, organize and administer programs and/or projects
- Ability to research, compile, and analyze data
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license, good driving record and auto accident insurance at a level acceptable to HWR and/or HWR’s insurer.
Physical
- This is medium to heavy work requiring work requiring the exertion of up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally as well as 50 lbs. frequently utilizing appropriate safe transfer techniques and body mechanics when working with patients.
- This work requires stooping, squatting, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping and feeling; vocal communication; hearing; visual acuity and color perception.
- Employee understands and accepts possibility of exposure to environmental elements, internal and external, such as infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, and chemicals and/or chemical fumes, (pet dander and/or exposure to allergens) and adverse effects of inclement weather that may occur as well as potentially difficult patient and family situations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Compliance to Annual Flu Shot Policy or ability to provide exemption documentation
- Provide an active auto insurance policy as a licensed driver in the State of Ohio with the proper level of coverage as directed
- Provide an active driver’s license
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
