Job Description
Responsible for providing administrative and general clerical support to either program chairs, department chairs, deans, or directors.
Job Duties
The Department of Accounting in McCoy College of Business is hiring an Administrative Assistant III to oversee day-to-day operations of the department as well as to provide administrative and financial support to the department chair.
Job Duties:
- Initiate, review and approve personnel requests, purchases, payments and expense authorizations for business operations
- Advise department leadership of relevant administrative policies
- Assist department leadership in producing administrative reports, drafting correspondence, and collecting information, as requested
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the department budget, ensuring there are enough funds for necessary departmental expenditures
- Create monthly department financial reports for department chair
- Manage department files following the university record-retention policies
- Ensure compliance and consistency with university, college and department policies, procedures and systems
- Primary point of contact for faculty, staff, and students for administrative issues
- Other related duties as assigned
