Job Summary

Moncrief Cancer Institute (MCI) is seeking an Administrative Associate with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills to join their growing team. MCI is a nonprofit, community-based early detection and support center. In this crucial role, you join an established, first-rate admin team supporting top-level executives. In addition to general administrative duties, this position assists with organization of educational events, art gallery openings, community cancer screenings and other special events that further the mission and community identity of Moncrief Cancer Institute. Salary Range

$50000 - $60000 / year

Experience and Education

Minimum Requirements

High school graduate and four (4) years related work experience are required.

May consider higher education completed in lieu of minimum requirements.

Job Duties

Relieve Director of a variety of administrative duties, which involve thorough understanding of functions, programs, and policies of organization; coordinate certain day-to-day operations of office.

Provide administrative support to Director and other managers and supervisors as needed.

Provide working supervision for staff of lower rank. Responsible for timekeeping, including vacation and sick leave approval; interpret V/SL policies for unit's personnel.

Manage calendars, schedule meetings with internal and external individuals including city officials, community leaders, and philanthropic supporters.

Assist the department in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with healthcare providers and other community partners.

Utilize various software applications to complete and coordinate projects and reports as assigned, requiring significant contact with other departments and outside organizations. Serve as liaison between Director, External Relations and service providers/vendors.

Compose non-routine and moderately complex correspondence, which does not require attention of supervisor.

Monitor and maintain budget; provide input to supervisor; prepare and submit various budgetary reports; assist supervisor with annual budget process. Has delegated approval authority for all dollar level expenditures for designated entity; maintain ledgers for various accounts, including reviewing expenditures, reconciling accounts, and ensuring appropriate use of funds.

Develop and refine policies and procedures as needed.

Plan and coordinate meetings, appointments and conferences; arrange for hotel accommodations, transportation and airline reservations for all staff.

Assist in promoting and participating in special events that further the mission and the community identity of Moncrief Cancer Institute.
