POSITION SUMMARY:
UA Grantham Information Technology is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Infrastructure team. The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for design, maintenance, administration, monitoring, reliability, and security of the university's local- and cloud-hosted systems, networking, and technical application infrastructure and will be a key architect of the university's new cloud-first infrastructure strategy and transition process. This position can be done REMOTELY.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage cloud-based server virtualization environments (Azure)
- Manage Azure Active Directory environment, including single sign-on, user and group management, access control, and security policies
- Mange Microsoft 365 cloud productivity/collaboration environment, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and licensing
- Manage cloud-based email environments (Google Workspace/Gmail, Microsoft 365/Outlook, etc.), including account provisioning, email routing and troubleshooting, and security policies
- Manage on-premise enterprise Active Directory environment including domain controllers, file and print sharing, and local workstation management (DHCP, group policies, etc.)
- Cloud-based endpoint management and security using Microsoft technology stack (Intune, Defender, etc.)
- Manage local network infrastructure in an enterprise environment, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points
- Manage network infrastructure services in an enterprise environment, including DNS with DNSSEC, RADIUS, etc.
- Collaborative research and design of new infrastructure solutions to meet identified business needs, including mission critical reliability and availability
- Physical and software maintenance including repairs, upgrades, updates, application of security patches, and coordination vendor service contracts, including scheduled after-hours work when necessary
- Participation in team on-call rotation for emergency first response outside normal business hours
- Configuration, deployment, testing, provisioning, client support, and documentation of managed systems and services
- Configuration and monitoring of performance metrics and alerts to ensure service reliability and availability
- Work with team members to develop, document, and test disaster recovery and business continuity processes, including storage replication, virtualization failover, and virtual system backups
- Develop and implement security procedures to prevent unauthorized and malicious activity and participate in security incident response, investigation, and recovery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and balance short- and long-term priorities to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Follow mandated IT service management procedures, including incident management, change management, and security incident response.
- Maintain professional knowledge of current technology practices and developments as applicable to assigned responsibilities
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field plus five (5) years of relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of advanced systems or network administration experience
- Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, CCNP, MS Azure, AWS, CompTIA+, etc.
- Experience with enterprise storage/backup environments or enterprise email system migrations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expert understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including subnets, routing, VPNs, security/access control, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration concepts such as storage and filesystem management, user management, system deployment, performance monitoring, task automation, troubleshooting, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate bidirectionally in spoken and written communication
- Ability to methodically define problems and collect and analyze data to reach logical conclusions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks and fulfill responsibilities
