Custom Job Purpose:
This position exists to process the admission of students and proctor all adult school testing. This includes, but is not limited to, GED, CASAS, Florida Statewide Assessments, and industry certification testing.
Essential Functions of this Job
Provides leadership for communicating, planning, organizing, coordinating, and soliciting test items from in-field professionals, concentrating on GED, CASAS, Florida Statewide Assessment Program, and industry certification testing.
Provides training to school-based personnel on the process to follow for assessment development. Supports teaching and learning by providing training in high-quality assessment item creation to teachers which have the potential to motivate students, guide instructional practices, and focus resources where they will be most effective. Respects the confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with accepted professional ethics, Pearson VUE and GED Testing, and state and federal laws.
Presents test results to school and district staff in oral and written formats. Addresses requests for test reports. Provides information to schools regarding classroom assessment and district and state accountability. Complies with best practices and procedures and shares them with schools as appropriate. Identifies and shares national and state reports with district and school staff. Upholds and enforces board policy, administrative procedures, and school rules and regulations, and is supportive of them to the public. Maintains appropriate work habits, including regular and punctual attendance. Strives to communicate the positive aspects of our school program to the public in word and deed. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with other staff.
Prepares progress monitoring data for FOCUS system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work cooperatively with parents, school districts, and agencies in providing services to students. Ability to administer testing instruments as required. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with students, teams, and groups. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the position. Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment. Must possess intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Education, Experience and/or Certification/License Requirements
Graduation from an accredited High School or a general equivalency diploma (GED) is required. An Associate's degree, sixty (60) college semester hours, or passing grade on ParaPro test preferred.
Work Context:
Requires some sitting and standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires work with students, internal and external contacts, and with the public.
Physical Environment:
Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects frequently weighing up to 20 pounds and infrequently weighing more than 20 pounds.
