Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager - Advanced Qualification Program role will support United Next growth plan and will have direct responsibility for leading a team to meet regulatory requirements of United’s Inflight Advanced Qualification Program to ensure United’s flight attendants meet safety regulatory requirements.
Primary responsibilities will include supervising the implementation of AQP Quality Control Program for Regional Inflight Training locations; accountability to ensure calibrated program implementation to meet regulatory requirements; support the development, maintenance and conduct Inflight AQP Instructor/Evaluator curriculum for qualification, continuous qualification, and requalification training, as needed.
- Provide assistant manager oversite of the AQP Quality Control (QC) for assigned Regional training locations
- Implement monthly audit schedule of classroom, cabin and computer based training to ensure compliance with FAA, DOT and TSA requirements
- Lead the development of mitigation strategies to address trends, as required
- Lead the development and implementation of monthly I/E calibration training session schedule in SFO, DEN, IAH, ORD, EWR, LHR and GUM of Instructor/Evaluator
- Own the development and maintenance schedule of AQP Instructor/Evaluator (I/E) curricula (I/E Qualification, I/E Continuing Qualification, I/E Requalification)
- Develop and maintain the implementation strategy of the training standardization programs to establish uniform grading standards among all Inflight Instructor / (I/E) Instructors
- Measures and addresses reliability between I/E while developing appropriate remediation procedures
- Conduct performance mentor and development for all direct reports to develop department efficiency to meet United Next plan
- Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 3-5 years of classroom instruction and curriculum development
- 1+ year of leading others/direct reports
- Ability to earn the United Airlines flight attendant qualification
- Ability to successfully complete United Airlines Inflight Training instructor program qualification
- Knowledge of FARs which pertain to crewmember training
- Experience in project management or process design
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Effective time management, presentation, planning and organizational skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Education Instructional system Design
- 5+ years of classroom instruction and curriculum development
- Extensive knowledge of inflight operations
