Supervisor: Vice President of Operations/Regional Manager Status: Exempt

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitors operations of Centers in assigned District with full P&L responsibility for those Centers.

• Continually monitors all district/area centers' revenue and expenses.

• Recruits, hires, trains, develops and/or dismisses center management staff.

• Upholds and ensures compliance in centers of all field operations' policies and procedures.

• Assists center managers in the management of staffing needs and the recruitment process.

• Properly implements all Best Friends' training and service programs:

• Ensures compliance of centers with federal and state labor laws.

• Ensures that all centers provide top quality care of pet guests.

• Ensures that all centers provide the customer with outstanding customer service.

• Ensures that selling effectiveness goals are met by all centers.

• Analyzes and utilizes financial reports and statistics from centers.

• Conducts monthly profit & loss statement reviews with each center manager in the district

• Develops plans for center improvement and coaches. managers on same.

• Assists in the development and implementation of new programs and projects as needed.

• Promotes and markets Best Friends' programs and services internally, and to the outside community.

• Interacts with customers within centers.

• Actively monitors associates performing job duties.

• Monitors and resolves customer complaints.

• Inspects building and properties and recommends/reports facility repairs and improvements.

• Monitors and assists with emergency/crisis situations. ·

• Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc.

• Treats customers, guests, visitors and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Personal/Physical: ·

• Must be available or arrange coverage for ava lability to Centers 7 days/week.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.

• Must possess a love of animals, be able to handle dogs on leads and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

• Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally.

• Ability to supervise, motivate and counsel employees.

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Displays a professional manner at all times.

Experience:

• 3+ years management experience in a multi-unit environment.

• Knowledge of and experience in pet care.

• Computer experience including Microsoft Excel, Word and the internet.

Education:

• Bachelor Degree preferred.

Travel:

• 50%-75% local and national travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
