POSITION DEFINITION

The Area Supervisor reports to the Area Manager and is responsible for creating a collaborative work environment with the cleaning specialists. Also, the Area Supervisor must drive to visit job sites to ensure that each building is cleaned according to our quality standards through regular inspections. A typical workday consists of going to the main office to complete administrative tasks and then driving to visit job sites in your operation area.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Supervise several facilities and personnel.

Perform regular inspections of the premises to ensure that the scope of work has been achieved.

Create work schedules for custodians and assign duties.

Cover for absent cleaners or open positions by performing routine cleaning tasks if necessary.

Control of daily labor hours for each building to make sure it does not exceed the budget established.

Understand the scope of work and ensures the scope of work and cleaning expectations are being met by training each subordinate.

Ensure compliance with the company's policies and operational guidelines.

Hiring/Firing for your assigned accounts.

Other duties as required.

ROLE-BASED COMPETENCIES

Spanish is a big plus.

Some supervision experience.

Janitorial industry experience is a plus.

Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record are required to operate company vehicles to and from customer work sites. Travel is required for this position.

EDUCATION NEEDED

Associate degree or equivalent level of professional experience.

4-year bachelor's degree is a plus
