GEOKON, The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology® (est. 1979), is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler, who at the direction of the Production Supervisor, performs assembly operations to produce geotechnical instrumentation. Assemble products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a timely and efficient manner that meets quality standards. This is a full time position .

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler, who at the direction of the Production Supervisor, performs assembly operations to produce geotechnical instrumentation. Assemble products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a timely and efficient manner that meets quality standards. This is a full time position .
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Read, comprehend, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and follow established procedures to accurately assemble products.
- Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning and labeling.
- Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools.
- Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other compounds.
- Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts.
- Soldering and assembling various parts to VW transducers.
- Perform quality testing / inspecting to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards.
- Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel.
- Rework and/or repair assembled products according to engineering specification changes.
- Keep accurate records / logs etc.
- Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of assembly experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and blueprints for complex and standard product assembly
- Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
