Job Description
The Assistant Director designs and builds engaging online courses and instructional assessments and activities for the Student Success Center’s academic recovery courses. This position will work closely with Student Success Center, Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS), and Center for Teaching and Learning (CETL) professionals to redesign UNIV 1004 (College Success Strategies) and LAHS 1014 (Academic Success through Personal Investment and Responsibility) courses in an asynchronous format providing subject matter expertise on college success strategies and motivational learning theories. In addition to course redesign, this position will teach sections of the course and maintain data and assessment of courses. The Assistant Director will assist with the delivery of other Student Success Center programs and services as needed. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in instructional design, student affairs/development, educational administration, educational psychology, or another closely related field. Expertise in online course development, course building, and Canvas required. Knowledge of video production and experience using data assessment tools like Qualtrics required. Experience in providing academic support. Demonstrated record of working with and teaching undergraduate students, including those from diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
High level of initiative and strong interpersonal and teaching experience preferred.

We are searching for an Assistant Director to design and build engaging online courses and instructional assessments and activities for the Student Success Center’s academic recovery courses and programming. In addition to course redesign, this position will teach sections of the course and maintain data and assessment of courses. This is a one-year temporary position.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
