Summary: As the Assistant General Manager, you will create and implement systems to drive customer service, sales, and an exemplary culture, all while helping children develop a vital and lifelong skill. Due to the rapid growth of our schools, we are opening new schools in multiple locations and advancement opportunities may exist for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a background in fitness or aquatics but it is not required! 2+ years of supervisory or namagement experience in service-based membership is preferred. Oversees the quality and success of pool operations including the management of the Deck Supervising staff, Golden Teachers and Swim Instructors, as well as the on-deck staff, maintenance of pool environment and interaction with students and parents/guardians. Maintains expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and demonstrates thorough knowledge of GSS management policies and practices. Improves efficiencies by merging classes, closing classes and creating new classes as needed. Certified Pool Operator's Permit is highly preferred not required as the employer provides paid training and costs for the certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, discipline and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors and Deck Teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
• Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conducts weekly audits of the Deck Supervisor Rosters, Deck Supervisor Notes, Training Logs, Pump Room Checklist, Cleaning Checklist and Visual Scheduler.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or teacher preferred. Optional CPO Certification.

Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid certifications and Ellis lifeguarding certifications (employer to pay for Ellis certification & training if needed).

Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
