Assistant to the General Manager - Sales Support - Staff Supervisor
The Assistant to the General Manager is responsible to assist the General Manager with the overall operations of the business, including, but not limited to, supervision of staff, coordinating the completion of daily tasks, cash management, administrative functions, covering open shifts, working between locations, and assisting associates during busy time periods.
Compensation:$16 - $18 hourly
Responsibilities:- Assign associates to specific duties to include a daily checklist
- Coordinate sales promotions activities and prepare or direct workers preparing merchandise displays
- Maintain operation records and prepare daily transaction records
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly requirements are completed
- Prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise
- Ensure compliance with established procedures, practices, sales, and security as outlined in the operations manual
- Assist customers with inquiries and complaints
- Cover open shifts due to vacation and illness at three locations
- Oversee employee's training completion
- Assist associates in obtaining new product knowledge
- Encourage, assist, and train associates to become a motivated salesforce
- Assist with social media posts
- Develop print skills
- Work with GM to set incentives in place
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, or equivalent
- Previous management experience
- Previous experience overseeing staff directly
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Adobe products is helpful, but not required
- Personal and reliable transportation, including a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Confidence to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to become a Pennsylvania Notary Public
