SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

This position will be responsible for assisting with the development of proposal requirements and working collaboratively with the Project Manager for Water Safety Services and other Service Departments to oversee and execute contracts related to service opportunities across the CONUS. The Assistant Project Manager s (APM) job is to assist with planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of a specific project(s). The APM is directly responsible for completing projects on time, within budget and scope. The APM is responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and adhering to local, State and Federal rules, laws and regulations pertaining to water quality management.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collecting water samples from designated sample points.
  • Works closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation that maintain and increase sales.
  • Engage in problem solving, pertaining to water safety management by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure the customer s facility operations are performing optimally.
  • Assist the Sales Department with new customer acquisition, ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch prospective customers.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications.
  • Desire To Learn Advanced Energy Metering.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders amongst current and prospective customers. Key stakeholders include plant and facility management executives.
  • Assist with negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Assist with determining needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) for the project life cycle with attention to budgetary limitations and duration of contract.
  • Evaluates progress and prepare detailed reports for submission to clients.
  • Ensures adherence to all health and safety standards. The incumbent will report and document issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor s Degree in Science or related field preferred.
  • Technical sales or field sales support experience preferred.
  • Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers required
  • Valid Driver s License.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to Travel up to 25%-40% of the time
  • Prior military experience preferred.
  • Travel is required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

  • Must have a strong work ethic and desire to learn fast changing water treatment technology.
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously.Must be self-motivated and demonstrate solid leadership skills.

Work is medium demand. Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires good visual acuity and hearing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
