Overview:
Remote AVP of Human Resources

The AVP of HR is responsible for leading the Behavioral Health HR Team and supporting the facility HR Business Partners. This key role partners in developing and aligning HR strategies to meet business needs. The AVP will serve as trusted advisor to operational and other HR leaders. You will provide solutions to complex and critical issues involving the workforce of the company’s behavioral health facilities. You will determine HR implications of changing business needs and recommend actions to be taken and lead consulting efforts to achieve outcomes. You set and ensure the implementation of high-quality standards for HR support to employees, managers, and leaders. The AVP of HR performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Lifepoint mission, values, and philosophy as well as the values of the human resources department.
Position Details:
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to the HR team members of the organization. Coach HRBPs on HR matters, HR compliance and personal effectiveness. Create opportunities for team building and ensure high HR team morale.
  • Coach and counsel Facility leadership on human resource concerns to manage business, labor, and legal risk, while supporting employee engagement and performance management.
  • Consult with leadership on HR matters as needed. Support HRBPs’ efforts to ensure proper execution of policies and procedures at Facility level.
  • Serve on teams engaged in the development and updating of policies, procedures, workflows, tools and action plans. Recommend and implement new/revised policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials that is consistent with the values of Springstone facilities and supports the compliance that is applicable with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor all HR compliance indicators for all facilities. Create action plans with oversight to immediately address areas of under-performance.
  • In partnership with Learning and Development Manager, create, edit, and deliver learning strategy and training materials for platform.
  • Utilize HR metrics performance to develop training for team and managers as needed.
  • Work with recruiting team to screen and onboard for open HR roles, managing a fill-in strategy for vacancies that will include providing on the ground support for facilities with vacant HR roles as well as coordination of additional qualified resources.
  • Lead regular webinar team meetings to ensure consistent communications and team development.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives – ensure best practices are implemented across the platform, execute, and analyze Annual Employee Engagement Survey ensuring measurable increase in performance through resurvey.
  • Measure and monitor employee attrition – assist in development of HR interventions to help reduce attrition.
  • Facilitate the annual yearend performance management and compensation processes for the platform. Develop timelines, communications, train HR team, and monitor execution of processes. Perform reporting and analysis to finalize the process.
  • Support HR technology initiatives and provide oversight and maintenance for current applications and systems.
  • Manage strategic HR initiative rollouts. Process will include communications, training, process to monitor compliance, and measurement to determine if the program is meeting the stated goals.
  • Demonstrate exceptional personal and professional credibility. Ability to quickly establish rapport and influence with both corporate and facility leadership to ensure aligned execution of policy and HR initiatives.
  • Perform adhoc reporting and analysis by pulling data as requested from Ultipro and creating reports.
  • Ensure strong HR compliance on all required elements per state, federal, and regulatory agencies. Establish strong governance and monitoring processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field required, MA/MS preferred

Experience: 10+ years of recent, progressive HR leadership experience in HR Generalist function, HR service delivery, employee relations and/or in applicable management-level capacity that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities. Prefer five years in a leadership position in a multi-unit, multi state organization. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Adept with Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

License: Valid driver's license preferred

Additional Requirements: Some experience with development and delivery of training programs. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
