Associate Engineer – Space Vehicle Simulators

What You´ll Do:

• 
  Design, develop and implement real-time simulations of Ball Aerospace space vehicles.
• Perform full software life cycle functions including software requirements, architecture, design, code, test, integration and documentation.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

• 
  BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
• Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Experience developing model-based simulations using Matlab/Simulink, preference for those with experience with auto code generation.
• Experience in designing, developing, and testing software for operational systems using programming languages such as C/C++, and Ruby/Python.
• Understanding of, and experience with, real-time operating systems including Linux/VxWorks.
• Exposure to or familiarity with control theory.
• A working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and activities in each phase.
• Experience with formal software development practices including the use of software version control, coding standards and style guides.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

  HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,500 - $91,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
