JOB SUMMARY:


Post University is looking to establish a pool of experienced academic professionals to fill part-time teaching positions. The Department of Communication and Media Studies is looking for Associate Faculty (Adjuncts) to teach main campus classes on our beautiful, quaint, & traditional New England campus in Waterbury, Connecticut. We are specifically looking for Associate Faculty to teach several courses in the Communication & Media Studies program, including the general education Introduction to Communication course, Interpersonal Communication, Cultural Communication, Public Relations, Content Creation, and other communication and media courses.

The Associate Faculty member must support the university's mission of providing strong foundational educational experiences within a student's career-focused program. The Associate Faculty member must pass the required Blackboard training in order to teach. Eligible candidates MUST be available to teach on our main campus in Waterbury, CT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Terminal degree in Communication or Media Studies or related field (i.e., Ph.D. or Ed.D) preferred; Master's Degree required in Communication or Media Studies or related field
  • Substantive college teaching experience (over two years) required
  • Public speaking instruction preferred
  • Experience using Blackboard preferred
  • Desire to experience 21st-century models of teaching and learning
  • Experience in online teaching a plus
