Associate Private Wealth Management Advisor (APWMA) Job at Northwestern Mutual - Twin Cities
Overall Function
The Associate Private Wealth Advisor will work with their Private Wealth Advisor and team to meet with existing and prospective clients to provide comprehensive financial planning, wealth management and trusted advice. Our goal is for the Associate Private Wealth Advisor to initially co-manage then transition existing and prospective client relationships over time. Salary is dependent on experience with potential for additional bonus pay.
The following tasks are some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this position:
Proposal and Case Preparation
· Gathering information for meetings with client/prospect
· Preparing necessary materials for existing client and prospective client meetings
· Preparing and modifying planning analyses and investment/advisory proposals
Advisory Client Meetings
· Execute client review meetings jointly with the primary advisor and eventually transition clients to associate for solo ongoing meetings as applicable
· Execute prospective client introductory meetings jointly with primary advisor
· Making recommendations and modifying proposals and advisory accounts based on review meeting
· Participating in client meetings for financial or investment plan development or presentation
Client Service
· Support primary advisor in ongoing client relationship management
· Own, track, implement and manage follow-up and ongoing planning relationships and touch points
· Contacting clients on behalf of the primary advisor to develop advisory plan and provide technical explanations of investment plan
· Formulating advisory product solutions to/for a client or explaining advisory products or advisory performance
· Accepting redemptions/withdrawals from clients and communicating instructions to home office
Qualifications
· CFP designation required, additional designations are beneficial
· Series 7 and series 66 or 63 required
· Financial Service or Insurance industry experience preferred
· Health and Life licensed or gain licensing within 6 months of employment
· Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills to proficiently manage client communications, planning action items and relationships
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
· Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
· Able to work both independently and on a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
