St. Petersburg College (SPC) is seeking to fill a vacancy for Associate Provost at the Clearwater Campus.

The Associate Provosts are responsible for managing the essential aspects of student services and student success. They provide leadership and ensure that student support staff provide positive engaging experience throughout their time at SPC. Emphasis is placed on leading and supporting staff to aid students in completing their degree program. This includes but is not limited to pre-admissions, registration, career and academic advising, and student orientation. The Associate Provost also plays an integral role in the planning and development of professional development opportunities for student support staff college wide.

Position Summary:
Provides leadership to Student Services team to ensure that full range of support programs and services is optimal in helping all students to succeed in their academic goals. Serves as an active partner and liaison to the local community.
Typical Essential Duties
Directs the internal operations for student service programs, which includes: planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, and/or standards;
Works with district personnel for continual improvements to processes in Admissions, Registration, Financial Assistance and all other campus-based student services areas;
Fosters local community partnerships and engagement opportunities
Works with campus personnel to effectively address student, staff and faculty related concerns, and all other support services;
Promotes a diverse and inclusive campus environment that fosters student engagement, sense of belonging and leadership development;
Creates a climate of open and effective communication;
Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, standards, and college-wide goals, policies, and procedures.
Facilitates, leads, and/or participates in meetings, proceedings, and committees;
Represents the department at campus meetings and conferences; serves as a liaison between departments, and external organizations.

Ensures that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

Incumbents work in a student services related department or function which enables the College to provide assistance and support to all students related to the enrollment, registration, and advising services. Incumbents will develop strategies to accomplish College-wide goals, implement policies and procedures, and develop and monitor an assigned budget. Incumbents perform management level work for their assigned departments or functions, only performing analysis or professional level work if necessary.
Requirements:
Education:
Master’s degree in a related field to assigned area required. Doctorate degree preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years professional education administrative experience. Demonstrate a strong commitment to equitable student success, community engagement, and the development of a student focused environment.
Knowledge of the goals, objectives, structure and operations of the various types and levels of higher education
Knowledge of technological systems as they apply to instructional, administrative and workplace needs such as statistical/ predictive analytics
