The Colgate Office of Athletics Communications is seeking qualified candidates for an athletics multimedia and creative services assistant. This 10-month, casual wage position reports to the Associate Director of Creative Services and Multimedia and assists with coverage of Colgates 25-sport Division I Athletics program.

This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.
Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage, direct, and troubleshoot Livestream production for scheduled home events through ESPN+ for all men's and women's sports.
- Create and maintain graphics and video content for broadcasts using NewTek, AJT and LiveText software.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist in content creation using the Adobe Creative Suite
- Assist in producing video board content at Andy Kerr Stadium and the Class of 1965 Arena.
- Create, shoot, and edit highlight and feature videos to promote all athletics teams on colgateathletics.com, ESPN+ broadcast and social media.
- Archive video content for media requests and future use, including Golden Gates award show content.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional content and increase fan engagement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Gameday Live Production/Broadcast experience.
- Experience with NewTek Tricaster or similar event production system.
- Ability to lead, train, and supervise game-day production staff and student workers.
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.).
- Highly motivated, goal- and a team-oriented individual who is passionate about athletics.
- Ability to manage various projects and meet hard deadlines.
- Comfortable following directions and translating constructive feedback in their work.
- Can problem-solve and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Daktronics AJT software.
Education
A Bachelors degree is required by the start date of the position.
Other Information
A current valid drivers license, in accordance with the Universitys Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.
Work Schedule:
The job requires frequent work during evenings and weekends throughout the year.Work conditions may include extreme weather (rain, snow, etc.).Anticipated start date is August 1, 2023, with position running through May 31, 2024.
