Position Overview

We are a Westchester, IL-based CPA firm with offices in Edina, MN and Schererville, IN. Our firm specializes in audit, accounting and tax services to employee benefit plans, labor organizations, not-for-profits organizations and governmental entities. In this position, your initial assignments will include assisting the experienced auditors on audit engagements, performing a wide range of audit support functions. As you gain experience and demonstrate ability, you will be given increased responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Documenting accounting systems and internal controls
• Preparing appropriate audit work papers
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management letters and government forms
• Claims testing

Qualifications

• Accounting degree with the academic qualifications to sit for the CPA exam or 2 years public accounting experience.
• Prior public Accounting work or internship experience is desirable
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Strong computer skills, experience with MS Excel and Word
• Teamwork and communications skills (Oral and written)
• Must have reliable transportation in order to drive to client locations for audit assignments. Local travel will be required and out-of-town travel may be required at times
