Automation Personnel Services is looking for an AutoCAD Drafter II for a company based in Ball Ground, GA State. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for creating architectural element drawings that generate production Bill of Materials, communicating ideas through precise drawings and specifications necessary to complete work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Rate
$22.51-$25.50 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

AutoCAD Drafter II Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate customer expectations.
• Review provided architectural plans and product specifications to ensure that we are meeting their expectations.
• Ability to communicate ideas back to customers through detailed drawings.
• Assist to maintain standard architectural element part drawings.
• Provide accurate shop drawings and proper installation instructions.
• Track all drawings related to jobs in their specific folders and maintain that they are available in the database.
• Know and understand the company’s drawing conventions.
• Keep drawings consistent within the drafting department.
• Use and help maintain drawing templates for all projects.
• Provide a complete bill of materials for all projects.
• Ensure all material specifications are listed.
• Provide part numbers for all relative product parts.
• Assist other CAD Drafters with understanding the concepts & designs.
• Answer questions for the shop, project management, architects & contractors when needed.
• Develop CAD & BOM templates for other Drafters to use for production work.
• Maintain standard account templates to stay current for production use.
• Attend meetings to discuss changes in standards & communicate concerns & questions.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner.
• Follow safety rules when in the shop.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean and organized.
• Maintain scheduled housekeeping duties.

AutoCAD Drafter II Qualifications and Requirements

Three year of AutoCad experience required.

*
Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.

*
Knowledge of fabrication and construction.

*
Excellent verbal and written communication.

*
Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office.

*
Strong attention to details.

*
Lifting assessment to be completed at Automation Personnel Services.

*
Drug screening and background checks required.
