The AVP for Community Relations LATAM is part of Citi’s Community Investing and Development team. Community Investing and Development works to drive positive societal impact in the communities where Citi operates, including the global work of the Citi Foundation and Citi Social Finance as well as employee volunteerism. These activities play a critical role in driving positive reputation and social impact in line with Citi’s mission and supports Citi’s license to operate in markets around the world. The AVP will support the coordinating and designing, alongside Public Affairs Officers across LATAM, of community engagement efforts including Citi Foundation grant making, engaging employees in volunteerism and project managing Citi’s charitable contribution processes across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support adherence of Citi’s charitable contribution policy and process for the LATAM region

• Project manage data requests and support award submissions

• Work with colleagues across Public Affairs, HR and Community Development & Investing to advance volunteering and community programming across LATAM, including providing communications and project administration support for Citi’s annual Global Community Day

• In partnership with the Director of Community Relations LATAM, support and administer a portfolio of relationships with community organizations covering LATAM that position the Citi Foundation as an innovator

• Project management of Citi Foundation grant planning for the region and administrative support for grant making efforts

• Prepare presentations and talking points for meeting with community partners, internal management meetings and external events

• Appropriately assess reputational risks and apply sound ethical judgment when escalating, managing and reporting control issues

Job Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience, preferably in community development, philanthropy, volunteerism, social impact, or corporate communications

• Experienced and knowable on the LATAM region is a plus

• Fluency in Spanish; Portuguese a plus

• An understanding of how diversity, equity and inclusion are central to community efforts

• Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail

• Time management, prioritization skills and project management

• Interpersonal skills, particularly written and verbal communication, and comfort communicating with a broad range of stakeholders

• Ability to exhibit sound independent judgment

• Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Self-motivated and prepared to work independently

• Ability to multi-task, working well under pressure
