Responsible for the overall management of the underwriting support operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives and policies. Develop, evaluate and oversee plans and strategies with regard to workflow and teams to establish and maintain a high level of customer service both internally and externally. Manage and assess the performance of direct reports and all personal within the group.
Partner with Underwriting to determine set service standards for each segment and ensure all goals are met in accordance with those standards.- Partner with IT Operations to come up with a strategy to improve service standards and processing times through the use and assistance of technology enhancements.
- Manage the Claims Services team.
- Initiate and maintain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hire, train, direct the development of as well as assess the personal in the group.
- Preform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum HS diploma or GED.
- College (Bachelors) degree strongly preferred.
- CPCU or other industry designations preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in commercial insurance.
- Advanced knowledge of underwriting workflows and processes.
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
- Prior leadership experience required.
