Career Start is currently seeking a Baker in Amherst, NY. To be considered for the Baker position, candidates must be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. The Baker will be responsible for mixing and baking ingredients to produce a variety of baked goods.
Responsibilities of the Baker:
- Scaling, proofing, production, baking, and decorating a variety of products, adhering to established standards and recipes.
- Experience in following standardized recipes, organizing and maintaining bakery workstations, and knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation techniques.
- Knowledge of raw dough, mixes, and frozen products.
- Must have experience working with dough and bread products.
Requirements of the Baker:
- Minimum 2 years professional bakery experience in a high-volume operation required.
- Must follow specific instructions regarding company policies and recipes.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English, and have accurate math skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance, demeanor, and hygiene required.
- Must be able to work at least one weekend day and four weekdays.
