Cafe Selmarie is hiring dynamic FOH staff to add to our team! We are a cornerstone business of Chicago’s charming Lincoln Square neighborhood, celebrating almost 40 years in business. We’re a busy restaurant and bakery, serving brunch, lunch and dinner along with a comprehensive in-house bakery menu.
We are looking for part-time and full-time Bakery Counter/Barista staff.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Serving our bakery and carry-out customers
· Barista duties - making espresso and coffee drinks
· Packaging carryout, online and delivery orders
· Fielding phone calls for bakery and kitchen orders, pickups, etc
· Stocking all bakery product, slicing cakes and simple decorating
· Keeping the front bakery area clean and organized
· Merchandising bakery product
Job requirements:
· Prior experience working in a restaurant, café or bakery
· Excellent customer service skills
· Must be detail-oriented and good at multi-tasking
· Must have a professional, positive attitude
· Must be comfortable working under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining composure and a friendly demeanor
· Weekends required (we are currently closed Sundays and Mondays)
