DoubleTree by Hilton Monroe Township Cranbury is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to assist our Excecutive Chef with our banquet-catering business. Our newly opened hotel is booking business for meeting events, weddings, and other social functions. Full or Part Time.

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation for banquets and events in coordination with the Executive Chef.
  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead and educate the team.
  • Leads shifts while preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
  • Estimates Banquet event order production requirements.
  • Coordinates banquet production and plating with the Executive Chef and Exec. Sous Chef.
  • Plans /manages food quantities and plating requirements for all banquet functions.
  • Ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Develops banquet, seasonal and special menus for events customers as requested by Catering-Sales Department.
  • Is able to perform inventory for the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure proper standards at all times.
  • Provides information to co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person when needed.
  • Attends and participates in all BEO meetings or Exec. Chef lead meeting.
  • Training available.
  • Brand training required.

Rate of Pay: $24.00 per hour. Overtime available.

Full Time or Part Time - Must be avaialble for weekends.

Experience: Min. 2 years Banquet Cook-Chef experience in an upscale hotel or
country club, catering hall.
