Banquet Houseperson Functions:

The Houseperson is responsible for complete setup and breakdown of all events, following all specified banquet event order sheets, room floorplan/diagram. This will include but is not limited to tables, chairs, portable bars, umbrellas, tents, buffet equipment, linens, etc.

• Other responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of any banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas. Returning equipment to its proper location, clean and in good working order.
• Notifying supervisor of any issues with any equipment that needs to be repaired and/or replaced. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet inventory, and supplies such as linens, chairs, dishes, glassware, flatware, and decorations.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, storage areas and public space.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests and members alike.
• Communicate and work closely with Banquet Captain, and Management to ensure a high level of service and seamless event operations.
• Maintain buffet and food stations, running trays of food to and from the kitchen, assisting servers by removing full trays of used plates/flatware/glassware to the kitchen dish washing area.
• Work as a team and effectively communicate with management and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous experience in Hospitality (preferred)
• Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
• Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
• Abide by all Laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages
• Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance
• Frequently Wash Hands for proper food handling
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Able to lift to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance'

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
