We are seeking a highly motivated, results driven individual who has strong customer service and technical/analytical skills with the ability to utilize data from multiple systems to complete tasks.
This is an on-premises position, remote options not available.
Job Summary:
The Benefits Specialist position assists in the verification and coordination of benefit eligibility, researches and maintains information regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, and premium(s). The position will verify insurance billing, maintain databases and files, and ensure compliance with benefit notices, as well as:
- Communicate with employers and/or members regarding benefit eligibility and/or enrollment.
- Maintain benefit digital and physical filing systems, ensuring that updates are accurately and timely processed.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Respond to benefits inquiries on plan provisions/plan changes, benefits enrollments, status changes, contribution amounts, and other general inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain regular reporting, new hire and termination reporting.
- Coordinate and transmit insurance carrier files.
- Reconcile carrier invoices and submits for payment.
- Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Coordination of Form 1095 tax processes, eligibility statements, self-pay notices, mandatory notices and mailings, newly covered materials, and COBRA administration.
- Respond to data requests.
- Coordinates and calculates PCORI fees.
- Assists Employer Reporting team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

- Ability to interpret and communicate Plan guidelines.
- Ability to analyze different sets of data, communicate findings and exercise appropriate judgment.

- Knowledge of medical benefits and applicable laws preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
