Bookkeeper Job at Sugar Barge RV Resort & Marina
Sugar Barge Resort & Marina, located in Bethel Island just minutes from Brentwood & Oakley is hiring a part-time bookkeeper to work approximately 20 to 24 hours, 4 days a week as the needs of the business dictate. Starting schedule is Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Some flexibility with the schedule is possible excluding Mondays. Must be reliable and have minimum two years of Quickbooks bookkeeping experience.
The Bookkeeper handles the day-to-day accounting needs of the company.
Principal Job Duties:
1. Accounts Payable—Code and enter credit card charges and bills into QuickBooks. Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices and process payments on time.
2. Accounts Receivable--Reconcile restaurant sales with server summaries. Enter all sales receipts in QuickBooks, reconcile credit card transactions, prepare deposits.
3. Prepare general journal entries as needed for COGS, inventory and other entries as needed.
4. Report and issue payment on time for all taxes, fees and permits which includes but is not limited to-State Board of Equalization, IRS, Franchise Tax Board, Contra Costa County, workers compensation agency and other government agencies as required.
5. Conduct a monthly reconciliation of all bank and credit card accounts. Request receipts as needed.
6. Enter approved payroll data to payroll processor. Maintain employee files.
7. Provide information to CPA as needed.
8. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and chart of accounts.
