This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 7 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-Lead Business Systems Analyst
The Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.

  • Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.

  • Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.

  • Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.

  • Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.

  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.

  • Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower level professionals.

The Corporate Strategic Initiatives Team in Individual Client Solutions (ICS) is looking for a Business Integration Consultant who will represent Retirement Operations and Shared Services (ROSS) and ICS on the Immediate Annuity (IA) Program. This person will be responsible for coordinating business requirements, readiness activities, implementation support, and production support. Readiness includes user acceptance testing, communications, training and documenting procedures for system and process changes. Ensure the project has clear targets, goals and expectations which are tracked and communicated.
Key responsibilities and duties:

Document Processes and Requirements
  • Represent Retirement Operations and Shared Services (ROSS) and Individual Client Solutions (ICS) on the Immediate Annuity (IA) Program.
  • Participate in discovery sessions with business subject matter experts.
  • Document current state process, transactions and reporting.
  • Document business requirements and future state process.
  • Update or document Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and job aids.
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Work with business subject matter experts to document test cases for ROSS and ICS.
  • Test application changes.
  • Implementation and Production Support
  • Develop implementation plans for deployment.
  • Assist with coordination of training status.
  • Assist with rollout planning, including identification of metrics.
  • Document workarounds and issues impacting production.
  • No direct management responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed.
  • This position is key to analyzing problems encountered with applications, judging customer and business impacts, and making decisions on the best course of action to remediate the issue. They must coordinate and communicate these actions across the business and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills including effective problem solving of more difficult issues by asking the right questions; ability to communicate technology changes to business users.
  • Project management process and user acceptance testing experience.
    Required qualifications
  • Three (3) or more year of project management experience, including experience with SAFe/Agile methodology
  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent business experience
  • Experience with retirement accounts - 401(k)/403(b)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, in addition to critical persuasive and influencing abilities
  • Excellent presentation capabilities necessary for facilitating and negotiating with various business professionals
  • Intermediate level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Coordinate business resources with testing activities.
  • Document defects and issues.
  • Work with program leads and IT to resolve defects.

Base Pay Range: $63.46/hr. - $73.57/hr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
