What you'll do:
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, call center management and human resources systems.
  • Work independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance related to the business implications of the application of various systems.
  • Devises and/or modifies procedures to solve technical problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Creates detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Takes responsibility for all phases of testing activities in an Agile environment.
  • Review and analyze the requirements/stories/tasks and identifies the test scenarios.
  • Design manual test plans, test scenarios, reusable test cases in a test management tool.
  • Execute manual test scripts and automated scripts.
  • Prepare reusable test data for manual and automated test cases for every test scenario.
  • Work closely with team members and identifies the good candidates for test automation.
  • Documents software defects in a bug tracking tool and reports defects.
  • Monitors defect resolution efforts and tracks progress and status.
  • Performing functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing of the system
  • Under limited supervision, carries out the day-to-day activities as Business Analyst and Tester
  • Prepares reusable test data for every test scenario irrespective of environment.
  • Contribute to story point estimates based on level of effort.
  • Reviews and evaluates the test results.
  • Reviews and analyzes the stories for any ambiguity, better clarity, completeness, testability, acceptance criteria definition.
  • Performs limited ALM and TestRail projects admin activities.
  • Have good experience testing mainframe applications
  • Prior experience in working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) FISS project

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 2-4 years or Masters 0-2 years or High School and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to identify the regression and functional test cases for automation.
  • Performs limited ALM and TestRail projects admin activities.
  • Have good experience testing mainframe applications
  • Ability to provide expertise in the formulation of systems scope and objectives relative to the business plan and industry requirements.
  • Execute manual test scripts and automated scripts.
  • Reviews the test scripts automated using UFT with test automation engineers and also reviews the UFT test automation results
  • US Citizenship is required
