UVA Finance Business System s Support team is seeking a B usiness Systems A nalyst to join our team . The analyst will be responsible for operational support , maintenance, configuration, and optimization UVA Finance applications, business systems , and operational integration solutions . The core platforms and systems of support are Salesforce Service Cloud, Workday Financial, O365 Power Automate, and Drupal .


They will be able to apply established IT project management processes to analyze, document and configure assigned applications to best meet the needs and goals of our functional teams for users across Grounds . The analyst will s pend most of the time leading the design, implementation and delivery of data applications, processes, and policies using specialized knowledge and skills . They will work in collaboration with a team of Business Systems Analyst s , functional content owners , c ross functional support teams , and end - users , and should be able to communicate effectively with all s tated groups . UVA Finance will provide training, mentorship, and access to some of the best technology tools in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead, c ollaborate , and document functional area users through a project methodology to identify system requirements and implement business application solutions .

  • Communicate technical requirements to teammates and management and aids to enhance the overall services provided by the business systems team.

  • Coordinate and p erform installation, maintenance, and modification of UVA Finance applications t o meet customer and functional team requirements.

  • Act as the liaison between the operational and functional areas with other technical staff.

  • Maintain and develop application and process documentation.

  • Ensure system data integrity, testing, and documentation.

  • Work independently to solve complex business problems and provide new insight into existing solutions.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


RECOMMEND ED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Project Management certification or extensive experience in managing small and large projects.

  • At least t wo years experience configuring and supporting functional applications in two or more of the following systems & applications : Salesforce or Similar CRM Service Cloud , Workday Report Writer or WD Extend , DocuSign , Claris Cloud , Qlik S ense , Drupal 9+ , O365 Power Automate , Trello , Jira .

  • Knowledge and experiencing utilizing a program or scripting language such as but not limited to : JavaScript , PHP , Perl, Python, Java , C++

  • Knowledge and experience developing and configuring d ata report s/dashboard u tilizing tools , such as : QlikSense , Excel, Salesforce, Workday , SQL, MySQL .

This position is remote with the expectation that the incumbent will be on-premise up to four times per year at University expense.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline
Experience: At least one year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
