JOB SUMMARY : To effectively direct and complete all functions and activities of the Meat Department in conjunction with the Meat Team Leader to achieve sales and profit goals established for the department to ensure that the work shifts of all department personnel contribute to the financial best interests of the store.

Skills Required: Ability to verify vendor invoice charges and counts, and complete required accounting reports Good listening and communication skills Speak the English language to a level that provides good customer service.

Responsibilities

• JOB SUMMARY :
• Maintain a positive work environment and ensure a fair and consistent treatment of all associates
• Set a positive example of the company values and excellent customer service
• Meet department Voice of the Customer / SMG standards
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations (e.g. weight and measures, COOL)
• Follow approved receiving procedures to ensure product quality and rotation
• Maintaining & recording accurately inventory levels to maximize sales and optimize gross profit
• Follows merchandising standards and systems as defined schematics, merchandising and display standards, known loss tacking
• Ensure that the correct retail prices are displayed in the scale labels and price tags and communicate any price discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Maintain inventory control to ensure freshness, product quality and turnover for maximum sales and returnoninvestment
• Control excessive use of utilities and water
• Ensure that proper cleaning routine is conducted at the end of the shift in accordance with the Company procedures
• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service
• Execute all department programs to ensure that the customer service, employee productivity, and meat cases presentation are being met
• Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on a regular, ongoing basis
• Oversee that all meat cuts are properly trimmed and displayed
