CAM Auditor Job at HomeServices of America
This individual will communicate with landlords on Common Area Maintenance annual reconciliations to request additional information, perform an audit to ensure the statements comply with the terms in the lease agreement. If needed this individual will reach out, clarify and solve any inconsistencies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Analyze CAM reconciliations to ensure the billings comply with the lease.
a. Identify overcharges and negotiate and resolve payment disputes with landlords.
b. Negotiate claims to resolution in a positive fashion while upholding the company’s position.
2. Manage year-end reconciliation activity and inventory of open reconciliations.
3. Provide information and reporting to relevant parties (subsidiaries, legal, finance), including tracking savings. Ensure timely communication of issues and financial impact to business partners.
4. Perform lease review.
a. Collaborate with lease team in highlighting risks embedded around CAM and recommend language to mitigate exposure.
b. Analyze year-end common area management expenses on existing leases to validate compliance against lease agreement.
c. Review projected expenses on new leases.
5. Develop guidelines and best practice procedures related to lease management.
6. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
