This position is responsible for facilitating the intake process for Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees and Russian speaking asylum seekers, beginning at the point of the client’s intake interview, including registration/intake, document verification, and the coordination, monitoring, and follow-up of client’s short-term and long-term care. This position also has responsibility for providing case management to clients, including ongoing cultural adjustment support, orientations, referrals, and mediation services for clients.

Client Services
  • Conduct initial client intake to collect demographic information, gather client documentation, and assess program eligibility
  • Conduct assessment with each client, develop individual client service plans based on strengths and needs, and facilitate connections to appropriate services and resources
  • Provide necessary case management services to clients to assist clients to achieve basic self-sufficiency benchmarks and to meet goals of client service plans
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess goal progression, to evaluate family stability and needs, and to provide support and guidance to clients through case management.
  • Empower clients while providing them with tools necessary to meet their goals.
  • Provide mediation services between clients and outside entities (i.e., neighbors, landlords, volunteers, service providers, etc.)
  • Distribute client information to appropriate administrative staff file creation and establishment of database account.
  • Make internal referrals to World Relief’s social services programs (case management, employment services, children & youth services, mental health counseling) and referrals to other WR programs (ESL, immigration legal services)
  • Provide referrals to community agencies and organizations for clients seeking services that WR does not offer; follow-up on referrals to ensure that client was able to connect with the recommended resource.
  • Provide basic orientation to services that WR offers and assist client to enroll in services based on client needs.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records.
  • Actively participate in department meetings, staff development opportunities, program trainings, community activities, and organizational events.
  • Maintain internal library of community organizations and agencies in order to make timely, appropriate client referrals; perform outreach to organizations to create partnerships as necessary.
  • Attend external community meetings to build relationships with community agencies.
  • Collaborate with volunteers and Volunteer Services staff to support the work of volunteers engaging with clients.
  • Provide supervision and accountability for department interns when assigned.
  • Work closely with internal service teams and external service providers to ensure comprehensive service provision.

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Fluency in English, Ukrainian and/or Russian required
  • At least 2 years of related work experience strongly preferred
  • BSW preferred; lived immigrant experience strongly preferred
  • Cross-cultural experience required
  • Basic MS Office skills required
  • Valid US driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle required
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed
