Job Summary:

The Cashier/Sales Associates will use cash registers and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers. Employee will also be responsible for welcoming customers, maintain inventory and hang clothes while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise, and providing outstanding customer service.
• Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
• Follows all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card and refund transactions, voids, and offline procedures.
• Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
• Increasing in-store sales.
• Superior product knowledge.
• Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.
• Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
• Assist customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
• Assist customers with fitting rooms.
• Bag and wrap purchased items.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency to efficiently perform their role. Maximizes productivity by executing all store best practices and minimizing steps and touches in their workflow.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
• Knowledgeable about the company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and working on the cash register or related equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• May need to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
