Job Description:

Phoenixville Hospital, a member of the hospital, is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for their evening shift. The position involves performing cleaning, assembling, preparation, and sterilization duties in Central Sterile Processing, as well as receiving and dispensing supplies and equipment. The technician will also fulfill various ancillary functions such as the processing of used surgical instrumentation, assembling and wrapping packs, restocking storage areas, and relieving other aides.

There are 7 available operating rooms within the operating suite, where various specialties perform surgery, including General, Plastic/Reconstructive, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular/Endovascular, ENT, Orthopedic, Cardio-Thoracic, Neurosurgery, Uro-gynecology, Gynecologic Surgical Oncology, and Robotics.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, a nationally accredited central service exam certification, and a certified registered central service technician credential or a certified sterile processing and distribution technician credential. The technician must have 1-3 years of experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
