Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of and compliance to the standards of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
• Identifies all reportable cases of malignant diseases
• Analyzes, abstracts, and codes demographic, patient and cancer related information, treatment and staging
• Maintains 98% accuracy in required abstraction fields
• Has experience with a variety of Cancer Registry abstraction software systems
• Attends and participates in meetings, trainings, and relevant
• Assists with Quality Control activities, information requests and quality improvement studies

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) from the National Cancer Registrar Association
• Minimum 3 years’ experience abstracting as a Certified Tumor Registrar
• Remote Experience
• Experience with oncology research data and complex cases including multiple primaries, Heme cases, and others
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and collaborates with internal team to execute

Preferred Experience:

• Experience abstracting for a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Program
