Position Title: Chief Nursing Officer, FT

Minimum Entry Salary *: Negotiable Based on Experience

Location: 11 County Service Area

Services Area/Programs: Medical Services

Description of Duties: Under general supervision, develops a collaborative and efficient workplace with specific attention to quality patient care. This position will perform a range of duties including maintaining departmental nursing budgets, setting long-term goals, and overseeing record-keeping processes. Manage and lead all nursing personnel operations. Develop short- and long-term goals for the entire nursing department. Manage and review policies and procedures to ensure best practice standards of care for patients. Develops policies, methods and programs on safety and compliance. Plan and oversee admission, nursing, and patient care processes. Maintain departmental budgets and oversee departmental expenses. Respond to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner. Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to ensure organizational efficiency. Manage patients' data and medical records as confidential records. Evaluate staff performance and prepare accurate reports detailing findings. Maintain high standards of care for all patients. Communicate with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health. Recruit, train, and onboard new nursing staff. Provide ongoing education classes for all nursing staff. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing, nursing administration, public health, or directly related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Four years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse OR Eight years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Two years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, Eight years of which as a supervisor AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Valid, unrestricted GA Driver’s License. Must be computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications: Psychiatric or behavioral health experience. Spanish speaking and/or ASL skills preferred.
