Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to join our team in San Luis Obispo, with access to the beautiful town of San Miguel, CA. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provide direct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. The RBT will be responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans and collecting data on progress towards treatment goals, as well as managing daily activities related to therapy.
San Miguel, CA is a charming town located in northern San Luis Obispo County, known for its rich history and beautiful countryside. After a fulfilling day of work, you can take a walk through the historic downtown area, visit one of the many nearby wineries, or take a hike through the picturesque countryside.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including implementing behavior intervention plans and tracking progress towards treatment goals
- Collaborate with the supervising BCBA and other members of the care team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services
- Manage daily activities related to therapy, including scheduling and preparing materials
- Provide training and support to families on implementing behavior intervention plans outside of therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all therapy sessions and progress towards treatment goals
- Attend regular training and professional development sessions to maintain certification as an RBT
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current RBT certification
- At least 2 years of experience working with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the care team
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new tools and platforms
- Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with developmental disabilities
