Job description Karins and Associates is seeking a Civil Engineering/Project Engineer with Land Development experience to provide exceptional value to our clients by transforming ideas into successful projects with superior service and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will design and assist in the management of projects, supervise staff engineers, and work with clients. Responsibilities include but not limited to;
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Proficient with use of AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare land development, grading, erosion and sediment control, utility, and construction detail plans,
· Prepare stormwater management design, calculations and reports using hydraulic and hydrologic computer software programs,
· Ability to collaborate with other engineers and provide the necessary design services on residential and commercial land development projects.
· Present plans and reports in a clear and concise manner to Township Planning Commissions, Board of Supervisors, Zoning Hearing Boards, and other public gatherings.
· Scheduling design, drafting, prioritizing, and reviewing work for its accuracy and completeness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Professional Engineering License
· 10+ years of experience in site/civil engineering for private, commercial, or public clients
· Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of land development engineering, including permitting, designing, and/or inspecting stormwater management systems, site grading, utility layout and erosion and sediment control plans, construction details
· Experience working with City of Philadelphia Water Department (PWD), License and Inspection (L&I), Streets Department and other agencies, a plus but not required
· Experience with Aqua America, PECO and other utility companies and their standards, a plus but not required
· Interpret and ensure compliance with government and regulatory requirements
· Preparation of NPDES permit applications
· Provide solutions to complex drainage and stormwater management issues
· Assist in proposal preparation and efforts in response to RFPs (Request for Proposals)
· Effectively manage all aspects of projects from concept to construction
· Engage in continuing education and current civil engineering technologies
· Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D (Version 2020 or newer)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience in the following civil engineering software is a plus but not required; Hydra flow, Hydro Flow, and HEC-RAS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,166.23 - $100,888.37 per year
